EP-GRIP

The POSSEHL EP-GRIP surface treatment is based on a two-component reaction resin binder and high-grade aggregate mix produced in accordance with the relevant German standards and regulations. Since 1986 POSSEHL SPEZIALBAU has applied POSSEHL EP-GRIP surface dressings as friction enhancement measure on heavily loaded vehicular-use pavements in order to improve traffic safety and/or to reduce tire-pavement noise.
POSSEHL EP-GRIP surface dressings are thin layers mixed of reaction resin and superior mineral aggregate with special grading 1-2mm, 2-3mm or 3-4mm, that have a high polishing resistance (PSV Value 53) and an impact crushing value of 18% by weight.
The choice between the fine and coarse aggregate in the mix depends on the purpose and the surface texture of the pavement to be treated. Various layer-thickness versions are possible depending on need.

More than 1.5 million square meters of vehicular-use surfaces have been treated with POSSEHL EP-GRIP in Europe. The large-scale, machine-applied laying on concrete and asphalt surfaces was carried out in Germany, the Netherlands and Austria.

Fields of application are slippery, noisy asphalt or concrete pavements with fast-moving traffic.
