For areas that are heavily used
Paths and recreational areas in the park
Bertramswiese in Frankfurt am Main is one of the central green spaces and open areas in the north of the city. As part of the green belt, Frankfurt residents use it every day for walking, exercising, playing, or simply relaxing and lingering. The requirements for the paths and recreational areas in the park are correspondingly high: they must be safe, durable, and at the same time blend in with their surroundings. No wonder the city chose EP-GRIP URBAN as the solution.
Robust, non-slip, and continuous
Our team coated around 780 m² of Bertramswiese with our high-quality EP-GRIP URBAN solution. We sprinkled NWK quartz with a grain size of 1.0–1.6 mm, which has a light, friendly color. The light design ensures that all surfaces blend harmoniously into the park's surroundings.
This was also the aim of the design: to combine the different uses in the park in a meaningful way. Thanks to the combination of binder and stone, a non-slip, level surface has been created that offers optimum grip at all times, whether in rain, ice or snow, when jogging, cycling or taking a leisurely stroll. In Frankfurt am Main, durable, non-slip surfaces have been created that meet all the requirements of modern park and open space design.
