In the current harvest year, over 8.88 million hectoliters of wine must were harvested. This is 4.2% above the previous year 2021 and this despite the fact that the growing season 2022 was characterized by hot spells and drought in many winegrowing regions. The German winegrowing industry turned over 3.19 billion euros in 2021, and in 2022 there will probably be a new record here as well
The wine-growing region of Rheinhessen is the largest wine-growing region in Germany. Over 6,000 winegrowers produce more than 2.5 million hectoliters of wine per year from approximately 120 million vines. Rheinhessen is also one of the most traditional wine-growing regions.
During the expansion of the production halls of the Jürgen Emrich winery in Wonsheim, we were able to use our industrial coating to transform a barn that had previously been used as a storage area into a high-quality production area. In the entire area, a multi-layer epoxy coating was applied and provided with the intended grip, so that operational safety is ensured even in humid conditions. After a very short installation time and taking into account the color design, we were able to provide our client not only with the coating and the creation of the fillets and the base, but also with the formation of joints.
We were also allowed to work on the exterior of the building. We were able to coat a concrete surface, which no longer met the requirements due to use, with our EP-GRIP URBAN. Joint work was also carried out in this operation.
The suitable solution for the viticulture and their production comes from POSSEHL Spezialbau.
